Тяньцзинь, Китай, 15 июля. Россия anticipates the participation of over 30 states and multilateral associations in the «SCO plus» summit. This was stated by the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
«We expect about 30 states and multilateral associations to participate in this event [the «SCO plus» summit],» said the head of Russian diplomacy at a press conference following the meeting of the SCO Council of Foreign Ministers in Tianjin.
According to the minister, the expected number of participants in the summit is an indicator of the growing attractiveness and constructive agenda of the SCO for the countries of the global South and the world majority.
Lavrov informed that the event will take place on September 1, «back-to-back with the meeting of the Council of Heads of State.»
